I once made a decision regarding the material used for my father’s heart valve. Since then, I’ve been curious about what is truly considered ‘natural’ and what is not.
For this work, I use natural pearls that naturally resemble the shape of a mouse’s heart and a frog’s kidney. But does it really matter, much like the debate between natural diamonds and lab-grown diamonds?
