MY SKY MY WATER MY GARDEN

MY SKY MY WATER MY GARDEN
(2007)

My mum asked me to lean the chairs against the wall in case it rains. But I wondered—why don’t we just keep that water? Also, I’m lazy.

So, I made a garden table with a central base that collects rainwater, which can be used for plants and flowers. Depending on the average rainfall in the driest to wettest parts of the UK, this could save between 178 and 510 liters of water a year.

Next to it, I placed a bird feeder designed to collect rainwater from its roof, channeling it into a birdbath underneath. These are examples of effortless, eco-friendly objects.
